Between 50 and 60 people, mostly youth, met at CIP (Congregação Israelita Paulista) in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Dec, 4th. The activities started with a screening of a short movie about Ahmed and Oren, two youngsters from Jerusalem, who use art to promote dialogue in a project called “Jerusalem Art” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MinBVaAzLOo). In the sequence, David Broza’s documentary, East Jerusalem/West Jerusalem, showing the interaction between Israelis and Palestinians through music, was followed by a chat with Ahmed and Rafael, a Brazilian living in Jerusalem, who joined Ahmed’s project.
A performance by Mazeej, a music ensemble composed by Jews and Arabs, and a fantastic falafel made by two Syrian brothers closed the event.
